Lock, the Invincible Black Cat

Today my dad took my cat of the last ~17 years to the Humane Society to be put to sleep.

Yes, she was ridiculously old.
Yes, she couldn't move very fast.
She was losing her sight.
And probably her hearing.
And yes, her mental faculties were at an all time low.

So this was probably a good thing.

But I HATE IT!!!!!!!!

She was my cat and she knew that she was mine.
She got me through a lot.
Even though she was an insensitive and aloof cat, she seemed to know exactly when to drop that act and sleep on my bed.
I wish I didn't have to function for the rest of today.
I'm so upset I can't even put together beautiful words to do her justice. :(

I am sorry for your loss. Losing an animal, especially one that you have grown up with, is difficult. May you always remember the wonderful times you had together.
